Star Beasts by Stephanie Young My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Do you want comical and adventurous space wars among rivalry planets of sentient animals? What about themes of friendship, protecting others, and coming into one’s own confidence as a leader?
This standalone graphic novel is a beautifully illustrated space adventure featuring animals of varying species protecting human kind against alien planets with a focus on teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence.
This may be a children’s graphic novel, but anyone can sit back to enjoy this lighthearted adventure with a colorful spectrum of space encounters with aliens and other phenomena. A lot happens in this longer graphic novel, and it is incredibly satisfying to look back at the full plot arc by the end of the story. The messages are great for kids and the high action plot entertaining enough for adults to enjoy as an easy read or pallet cleanser.
If you enjoy graphic novels, animals, and wholesome stories, I highly recommend checking this book out on August 17th, 2021. Oni Press never fails to impress me.
